 Meeting Summary Minimize

The Center of Excellence for Composites and Advanced Materials (CECAM) hosted the 2009 JAMS Technical Meeting, held July 21-22 at the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University.

This meeting was the fifth annual technical peer review of the research progress for JAMS, whose co-lead institution is the Center of Excellence for Advanced Materials in Transport Aircraft Structures (AMTAS). The objectives of this technical review were to:

  • Review the research of the JAMS Center of Excellence;
  • Access current industry practice and compare that to the current research areas;
  • Recommend additional research activities.

This review, consisting of presentations from the JAMS principal investigators, will help JAMS and the FAA focus their research efforts appropriately to the needs of the aviation industry.
