Course Description:


This course will provide students with an awareness of all aspects of systems and aircraft High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) testing. Topics will include the following:

  • Why HIRF is important
  • FAA/European requirements to demonstrate compliance
  • Equipment qualification
  • Aircraft certification and testing
  • Problems and Pitfalls
  • Design Issues
  • An overview of the design process and requirements in regards to lightning.

Registration Fee:
Tuition is $2,500 each if registered by August 11, 2017 and $2,750 if registered after August 11, 2017.   Registration is limited and will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.  Course materials and breaks are included with tuition.  Individuals will be responsible for their lunch each day.  A list of nearby options will be provided.

Cancellations and Refunds: 
All cancellations must be made in writing.  A 15% administrative fee will be assessed on all cancellations (this includes purchase orders).  There will be no refunds after August 30, 2016. WSU reserves the right to cancel the program due to lack of enrollment.  In that event, WSU will refund any pre-paid course fees but will not be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages.
